Field Emission Transmission Electron Microscopy (FE-TEM) is an ultra-high-resolution imaging technique. It uses a sharp tungsten tip and an applied electrical field to extract electrons. These electrons are accelerated through an extremely thin specimen (< 150 nm) to map inner atomic structures, elemental compositions, and chemical bonding at sub-ångström scales.
